Over a decade of waiting by loyal Street Fighter fanatics was finally rewarded in February 2009 with a slick, addictive and stunningly good-looking sequel which wholeheartedly dispelled the myth that the series couldn't 'do' 3D.
For players who fondly remembered Street Fighter's halcyon arcade and 16bit days, it was like Ryo, Ken and co. had never left. Straight away they were all back to Ha'Dokening and Sonic Booming as combatants old and new, against the computer and friends alike; employing those all-important special moves and desperately blocking to hold on to the last precious sliver of their energy bar.
Hardcore SF players meanwhile headed online, where the competition was stiff, the ranking system incredibly moreish, and mastery of the new Focus Attack system an absolute must.
For simply taking the greatest fighting series ever and Tiger Uppercuting it emphatically into the HD generation, Capcom's classic earned its spot on the shortlist.

"An excellent game, the best console fighter yet. This is however a very difficult game and not for button mashers. You will need to master complex moves to even stand a chance on the games easiest difficulty. If your willing to put the time and the effort in then this game is certainly worth buying."

"This game is just amazing! Graphics are so nice to go along with the excellent game play. Not a game for people that just want an easy fight; you will need to learn characters combos, special moves etc. to stand a chance online or even on medium difficulty against the CPU. 10/10!"

"Had high hopes for this and it didn’t disappoint. Amazing and the best fighting game of this generation."
