The most popular band in history, combined with the fastest-growing brand in the ever-expanding music videogame genre. It was a fantastic idea, and backed by the commercial clout of powerhouse games publisher EA, always looked like a winner.
But surely even the biggest Beatles fan, or the most impassioned Rock Band player, couldn't have imagined it would end up quite this good?
For many, simply getting to play The Beatles back catalogue in the music game format would have been enough. What they got was much more; Beatles Rock Band impressively chronicles the Fab Four's rise to fame and most memorable gigs, complete with different character models for each Beatles era, and rounds off the package with never-before-heard audio chatter from the band's studio sessions.
For getting non-gamers gaming AND introducing new fans to The Beatles' immortal legacy, this is undoubtedly one of 2009' standout titles.

"An absolutely fantastic game! You can live through The Beatles career in this game. It's the most colourful Rock Band game to date and throughout the whole thing it has the whole Beatles feel to it. You will not be disappointed with this purchase."

"What a great piece of kit. Very sturdy drum set up and well made guitar. Mic also looks like the real thing too. Brilliant to play along to something other than the normal punk and rock band stuff for a change. Fun and games for all the family/mates when they're over but the drum kit is mine, dammit!"

"EXCELLENT!!! The band-in-a-box is great. The whole family can play. Even the kids enjoyed playing the Beatles ... they can't get enough of it. A great buy, the kit is amazing. Even the microphone and stand look like real ones. Definitely worth buying, even more so if you like the Beatles. It's great to be able to sing along to most of the songs as well as play the guitar or drums. Excellent :-)"
